IOLS - Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills
This course is designed to provide basic outdoor skills used by the BSA. This hands-on approach gives leaders the skills needed to take youth camping and is required training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters who wish to be considered a trained leader. It is recommended for Webelos leaders, Varsity coaches, Venturing leaders, and others who will be camping with youth. This is a pre-requisite for Wood Badge if you are a Scoutmaster or assistant Scoutmaster. Almost as important as all this, it is a great chance to hang out with other Scout leaders, swap stories and advice, eat good food and have a lot of fun!
